ABOUT AMERICAN COUNTRY GOLD

American Country Gold is a weekly one hour radio show, which features traditional Country Music, widely known as Pure Country . It is syndicated world-wide, and has become one of the leading programs of it's kind.  The featured music is digitally re-recorded direct from the hit recordings by the original artists who, beginning in the 1950's, set the trend of the musical genre and established it with juke boxes, radio deejays, nightclub and show bands, motion picture exposure, personal appearance show tours, as well as regular live performances on the leading Country Music live radio and tv shows throughout North America. These weekly productions included the WWVA Jamboree U-S-A in Wheeling, West Virginia; Louisiana Hayride in Shreveport, Lousiana; WLS Barn Dance in Chicago,  Illinois; Midwestern Hayride in Cincinnati, Ohio; Big D Jamboree in Dallas, Texas; Town Hall Party in Compton, California; Renfro Valley Gatherin' in Kentucky; Old Dominion Barn Dance in Richmond, Virginia; Ozark Jubilee in Springfield, Missouri; and Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee.

Freddy Carr is the host of American Country Gold, and he is a true fan of the Country Classics.  His career as a radio personality began in 1957, and quite naturally segued into a recording and television career of his own.

He has been closely associated with the music business for over half a century, and  has extensive knowledge of the industry. He always has many fond memories to share with his audience, and lots of great stories to tell.

AMERICAN COUNTRY GOLD was launched in January, 2007, beginning with 5 radio stations in Georgia and Florida. During the show's first year of syndication, over 130 stations joined the affiliates list. It continues to grow at a rapid pace, and is presently broadcast in 37 states, plus several UK and Canadian locations, as well as Internet radio stations.
