Funding for the production and distribution of the radio show is provided by the consortium of U.S. Corporations for The Support of Traditional Country Music, a non-profit organization and through grants from Country Music Historical and Rural American Music preservation societies. Therefore, the only commercial content is provided by the radio stations who air the show. The show is divided into 4 segments, and each segment is separated by 2 minutes of available commercial time (known as "avails").
